Dr. Gönenç Gürkaynak, our founding partner and head of ELIG Gürkaynak’s competition law and regulatory team, moderated the Legal 500 webinar entitled “Innovation and Competition Law” on Thursday, June 15, 2023. The speakers of the webinar included Dr. Jorge Padilla (Senior Managing Director, Head of Compass Lexecon Europe, Member of the Global Executive Committee) and Ms. Rachel Brandenburger (Global Senior Advisor to APCO Worldwide).

Dr. Gönenç Gürkaynak, our founding partner and head of ELIG Gürkaynak’s competition law and regulatory team, spoke at the 4th International Mergers Conference panel entitled “Developments of New Theories of Harm in Merger Reviews” organised by Concurrences in partnership with University College London on May 23, 2023. Dr. Ioannis Lianos (President, Hellenic Competition Commission & Professor of Global Competition Law and Public Policy, Faculty of Laws, University College London) moderated the session and the other speakers included Ms. Verity Egerton-Doyle (Counsel, Linklaters, London), Dr. Pedro Hinojo (Head of Information Society, Competition Directorate, Spanish National Markets and Competition Commission, Madrid) and Dr. Adrian Majumdar (Partner, RBB Economics, London).
